Positive Experience from a Fellow Exhibitor:
“In the spring of 2011, I attended an introductory CDSP seminar with Joan Klingler as the presenter.
I have competed successfully in Rally Obedience, but have been hesitant to enter the traditional obedience arena, because
it just doesn't look like the dogs or handlers are having much fun. It's much too lock-step precision for my liking. I want a
positive and enjoyable experience for my dogs and myself.
After the CDSP seminar, I thought this may be a good venue to practice a more traditional approach and have fun with my
dogs at the same time.
Our first competition was this past December. Every person, including Judges, volunteers and exhibitors, was friendly,
supportive, and encouraging. We earned our Novice title in 3 trials and are now working toward our Novice Championship. I
strongly urge more people to try this "kinder and gentler" obedience competition.”
